Charleen's Portrait Studio Presents
Could Your Pet Be Our Next Calendar Star?
Join the 2027 Bark Harvest Pet Calendar Contest
If you're anything like me, your pets aren't simply pets. They're family.
They're the ones waiting at the door when you come home. They curl up beside you on the couch, make you laugh when you need it most, and somehow become an important part of your family's story.
That's exactly why I love photographing them.
This fall, Charleen's Portrait Studio is inviting pet families from throughout our community to celebrate their four-legged family members while helping support Bark Harvest.

More Than Just a Pet Portrait
The 2027 Bark Harvest Pet Calendar Contest is a chance to create a beautiful portrait of your pet, have a little fun, and support our local community at the same time.
Most importantly, your pet could earn a place in our 2027 calendar.
Whether your best friend is playful, serious, silly, shy, or full of personality, we want to capture what makes them special.
Pet Portrait Sessions Are October 3 & 10
Pet portrait sessions will take place at Charleen's Portrait Studio on October 3 and October 10.
During the session, we'll create a portrait designed to show off your pet's personality. We'll have beautiful fall-inspired choices and several background options.
In addition, if you have more than one furry family member, sibling pets are welcome too.
Pet Calendar Contest Entry
$45
Your contest entry helps support Bark Harvest and positive efforts in our local community.
Then Comes the Fun Part
After the portraits are created, the contest moves online.
Friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, and fellow pet lovers can support their favorite pet by voting.
Votes are $5 each. So, not only does your pet get the chance to become a calendar star, but their fan club can help support a great cause along the way.
What Could Your Pet Win?
The pet receiving the most votes will earn a very special honor: the cover of our 2027 Pet Calendar!
Our first-place winner will receive the calendar cover, a trophy, and, of course, a full year of bragging rights.
In addition, our second- and third-place pets will receive trophies.
Who Will Take Frank's Place?
Frank earned his place as our 2026 Bark Harvest Calendar Contest Winner.
Now, we're looking for the next unforgettable furry face to follow in his pawprints and become the star of our 2027 calendar.
Could it be your pet?
A Portrait Becomes Part of Their Story
After photographing families for so many years, I've learned something important: we rarely regret having the photographs.
Our pets are part of our lives for such an important chapter. Yet somehow, that chapter never feels quite long enough.
Because of that, a beautiful portrait can become much more meaningful over time.
It preserves the silly expressions, soulful eyes, quirky ears, and little details that make your pet completely and unmistakably yours.
So, while this contest is going to be a lot of fun, I hope it becomes something more for you too. I hope you leave with a portrait that makes you smile every time you see it.
Your Pet Can Make a Difference
Another reason I love this event is that the fun we have with our own pets can help support something positive in our community.
Bark Harvest brings together pet lovers, local businesses, families, and friends for a celebration centered around the animals who make our lives better.
Charleen's Portrait Studio is proud to be part of this special community event.
Is Your Pet Ready for Their Close-Up?
Portrait sessions are being held October 3 and October 10.
Reserve your pet's session and officially enter them in the 2027 Bark Harvest Pet Calendar Contest.
Give them their moment.
Create something you'll treasure.
Help support our community.
And who knows? Your four-legged friend may just become our next calendar cover star!
